Review of Shrine Of Our Lady Of WalsinghamMy recent stay at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham offered a unique blend of historical charm and modern convenience, yet it ultimately highlighted a clear distinction in value versus luxury. I was assigned to the Milner Wing-slightly disappointing compared to the characterful old section overlooking the Abbey Grounds. While the room was impeccably clean and featured an efficient en-suite shower, the cramped quarters could be a concern for lengthy stays. In contrast, the old part radiates an aura of tranquility, with its rich history and larger accommodations. Guests opting for this area enjoy the benefits of bath tubs and kitchenettes, amplifying comfort. The hotel grounds, in particular, are exceptional, offering beautifully kept gardens that create a serene atmosphere for reflection and enjoyment. The buffet breakfast is quite satisfying, encompassing a variety of choices, and the dining area is spacious and pleasant. While the Shrine provides a peaceful escape with ample amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and well-maintained public areas, potential guests seeking a long-term luxurious experience may find the Milner Wing lacking.
